Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and translate software requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications, following established coding standards and best practices.
- Write clean, well-structured code across the software stack.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of software components, emphasising scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Participate actively in code reviews, offering valuable insights to maintain and elevate code quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, employing effective debugging techniques.
- Collaborate closely with QA teams to devise and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring robust software functionality.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, particularly those relevant to JavaScript and TypeScript, to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Play a proactive role in software development initiatives, contributing ideas, insights, and collaborating on process improvements.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the employer to support the software development team and projects.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript programming languages.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with front-end and/or back-end web application development using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and services within the JavaScript/TypeScript context.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools relevant to JavaScript and TypeScript.
